A World Experience exchange student wants to be a part of your family!
Through the years World Experience has exchanged over 4,000 high school students from around the globe. Every year loving host families volunteer to change the lives of deserving World Experience exchange students. Opportunities are now available for families to serve as volunteer hosts for high school exchange students, ages 15-18, from Asia/ Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

World Experience invites you and your family to join our family by becoming a host family!
World Experience accepts that students across the globe want to discover the difference in cultures of other countries. Open your home and heart to a student that craves to learn the American way.
Host families are asked to provide a bed (students can share a room with a sibling), meals, love and guidance. Host families are unpaid volunteers, they are not compensated for hosting. To assure the best possible experience for all participants, families applying to host a World Experience student must be screened by a World Experience coordinator and will participate in selecting the student that best fits their family.
Feel the spirit of an exchange student as they learn what makes the United States what it is today. Help them understand and participate in everyday activities with you and your family. Take them to a ball game and family gatherings and watch their eyes and minds sparkle with excitement.
World Experience exchange students have their own spending money and medical insurance. They have all studied English, but have varying levels of mastery when they arrive. Your student wants to improve their English, make new friends, gain a second family, learn about US culture, and live like an American teenager.
World Experience host families come in many different shapes and sizes - young couples with small children, single persons, one parent families, empty nesters, etc. They live in very rural areas, small towns, suburbs, and cities. The one characteristic all host families share is a big heart with a lot of love for a new family member!
